Well, just drop that one item about banning mincemeat and fruitcake from your party platform and I'll vote for you! Okay, you can ban it all year but just permit me some at holiday time - that's really the only time I indulge in either. I cannot eat them any other time of the year - it wouldn't be right. It would be like eating hot dogs, potato chips and apple pie for Christmas dinner to have mincemeat pie or fruitcake except in November, December! Or eggnog - I reserve it only for those two month, too.
