I honestly did not know that allergy testing was needed for a dog with IBD. I think there are foods you can give without going through all of that.....again, I personally swear by veterinary nutrionists. I have done consults with my sick pups and had great success. One was diagnosed last year with lymphangectasia and I am home cooking for her..she is doing fantastic. Another one has a protein losing nephropathy plus liver and gall bladder issues...she is on Purina NF and doing well....she will not eat any people food (go figure..haha) Both diets were suggested by the nutrionist.
