Default All will be well.

Congratulations on your new family member.
You have already received a lot of great advice. I have had Alfie from he was 6.5 weeks old, unlike in USA, here in UK there is no law limiting the age you can have a puppy as long as it is weaned.
You are now puppy momma, so you need to teach your puppy what is acceptable and what is not. So you also need to do a lot of research and find out how best to do this.
If your puppy is expected to spend a considerable time alone, then you need to help them accept this, it will be hard but if you teach your puppy that you will pick them up or run to them every time they whine or cry then that is just what they will do.
Get a special soft toy, one that you only use with your puppy for quiet time, start to give this to your pup when you leave the room for just a few minutes, then leave it for a little longer the next time.
There are loads of puppy training techniques websites and if you do your homework and be strong in your decisions then you will succeed.
My Alfie was way too young to leave his Mommy, but he has never had a problem with us going to work every day and has always slept on his own and not with us because we didn't spoil him when he whined but pampered him when he did what we wanted.
You are the Mommy, you need to be strong and not give in to puppy blackmail.
Good luck, you are starting on a wonderful love affair, it may be hard at times but those daily puppy kisses make it all worth while.
