So when you transition from an only pup to having two, what are some of the biggest changes?
Luma is fed at specific times. Should a puppy also be fed like this, just different foods? And can I feed Canine Caviar advertised as "all life stages" to a puppy? Do they need seperate water bowls?
Luma is pad trained and never has accidents. We are going to get a boy, and I've heard they are much harder to train. Can I pad train a boy dog? That may be a stupid question, but I have no idea what to expect with a boy!!
Luma has full run of our apartment when we are both gone, which is rare. If I put the puppy in a crate won't it cry the entire time because it wants to get to Luma? Likewise, at night Luma sleeps in our bed. Should puppy have to sleep in the crate? I don't want to cause dominance issues.
Which brings me ti my last question (sorry for so many!) Luma is submissive around other dogs. At least at first. If they keep getting in her face she will bark at them. What kind of puppy personality should I look for? A leader? A loner? I want them to get along and love each other but I do understand it will take time. It will be a while until we actually get another puppy. I am just doing all the research I can so I can be prepared.
