Domo is almost 4 months old, he weighs 1lb 15 oz. He is eating blue buffalo puppy. When he came to us from the kennel, he was eating eukanuba. He drinks and urinates excessively. I'm talking he'll urinate quite a bit, and then 5-10 minutes later urinate again, quite a bit. I took him to the vet and mentioned this. The doctor said that this is signs of kidney issues and diabetes, but he'd never seen either of those in a pup so young or so small. Should I be worried still??? He's been living with us for 1 month now. Idk what to do. I mean I checked with the vet, and he told me not to worry, but I am still worried.
Since he's still a pup and a very tiny one at that, this seems like it's in the normal range, their bladders haven't stretched yet, and their tummies are still so small they can't hold much food and water. Is he gaining weight; that would be a good sign he's doing well. If not, I’d go back to the vet for more tests.
