This really depends on how much time you have and what kind of potty training you are going to do. Crate training only works if you are going to be there to let the puppy out frequently to go potty. If you cannot do that the puppy will learn to potty in the crate. A young puppy cannot hold it's urine and they have to go frequently.
I have seen many here on YT have the white play pen you show. If you are planning on using puppy pads they work very well.
