My 9 year old Lab (Duke) was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma about a year ago. But it is in his jaw. So we weren't so lucky. We did have the tumor removed & even though it was removed from his mouth, his recovery from the surgery was amazing. As soon as the drugs wore off, he was back to his old self
I was soooo nervous about the surgery. But your vet is right...it really is "no biggie". I'm sure that Daisy will be fine with the procedure, especially since it's not in her mouth.
I'll keep little Daisy in my prayers. Even IF the patch on her nose is melanoma, the cutaneous melanomas on the toes and face are very easily controllable. She's very lucky that you noticed it right away.
