I wonder if he would like it if you associated the nylabone with something great. Like a reward when he chews it? You've been excellent at training him, perhaps he would chew it on command if you motivated him some how?? The chicken broth thing seems like it could be a pain. Hmmm, the blue dental ones, I'll have to look into. I have a $40 petsmart gift card so was planning on buying one or two. I am sure I could teach him to chew on it, and I will try, but then it will probably be looked at as a training session toy and I want him to be able to go chew it by himself! lol. But I will definitely give it a go. I've been able to teach him to fetch and dive, etc, with encouragement and training, you'd think I could get him to chew on something. But those are things that I am involved in, cheering him on, etc. I've tried playing with it, making it more exciting, opening it from the wrapper in front of him, letting other dogs chew on it first... he simply does not care. lol.
How much are they supposed to chew off those flexi's? When I got Jackson the medium (I think) sized flexi chew over a year ago, he did this in about 30 mins (not our pic, found online):
And I just didn't feel comfortable with it. So if I try flexi again, I'll probably get one of those monster sized one, or wolf or giant. They are way too expensive for him to chew throug that fast.
