This is weird, but my puppy is scared of his own poop!
I know he has never been fond of his poop. He would poop, turn around, smell it and leave. However, for the past few days it has progressed to being scared of his own poop.
Few days ago, I put into his crate and I went to bed. As soon as I got into bed, I heard him yelp. I looked at his crate and sees him dashing from the bathroom to his crate. (Bathroom is lined with pee pads for him.) I ran over to see what scared him in the bathroom, and I saw poop. Then I hear him bark very softly at something in his crate. I looked, and it was a flat piece of poop that he probably stepped on and brought into the crate when he panicked.
Since then, he would either...
1. Poop and run away as soon as he's done. When he turns around and see the poop, he'd yelp and run away again.
2. Turn around when he's done pooping. Sniffs the poop, yelps, and runs away.
Is there's some phsychological/emotional cause for this behavior or something?!?! I am so puzzled...
I guess, I don't have to worry about him eating his own poop though...
