I agree with Pat about the info contained in the archives. In your post, you qrite " I have bred a Yorkie before, so I don't know anything about breeding." Did you mean you have NOT bred before?
I have one question to ask and you will find good info to help you answer this...Are you willing to take a chance on the life of your PET? That may be a moot point if she is say 6 pounds or more. Would her breeder be willing to let you use one of her unrelated studs AFTER your pet has been evaluated? I would ask now so you can have some idea about what a stud owner should be looking for in a female...
