It's my understanding that Biewer, the German man that brought the first pup into being, bred something with a yorkie (can't remember off the top of my head). So, I mean...down to the very beginnings, they come from yorkies. Oh, okay..I just went and found what I was thinking about and it was 2 recessive gene pie-bald yorkies.

From what I've read, though, Biewers and YT's are not bred together any longer. Biewer is it's own separate breed now...I could be totally wrong, but this is what I read when I was researching (I had never heard of a Biewer before so I went googling lol)
