Troy had a dental in September/October sometime. His teeth are pearly white, but I notice that if I don't stay on top of brushing that stinky smell returns. Our vet says this is common among small mouthed dogs because sometimes left over food gets caught in the nooks and crannies, so it rots leaving bacteria to grow and sticky nasty puppy breath. I think if you keep up with a teeth cleaning regimen that smell should go away. It helps for us.
