Wosie had fallen off our bed at least a half dozen times onto the carpeted floor with no harm done. Then one night in November she SLID off, grabbing the quilt all the way down, and I turned just in time to watch her go, thinking to myself in that split second, wow she's falling so slowly, no WAY will she get hurt" and then I hear KI YI KI YI KI YI!! Sure enough, she caught her leg on the hard edge of my box spring and broke her growth plates off the bone!
Emergency vet/xrays/surgery/looooonnnnngggggg recovery, DANG!!

She's good now, and won't go NEAR the edge of the bed!
