I have always believed the most important thing is to teach a pup where you want them to go potty, not just what to go on. I use just one potty spot (although I use a few pads as ZoE likes a bigger area). I have hardwood floors throughout my entire house , other than marble tile in the bathroom & laundry closet, so I have lots of rugs.
