Exactly!
Even when I had said "no" and/or had nothing to do with acquiring the puppy/dog, they were all loved and treated well, and every oone has become 'mommy's baby' even when they started out 'daddy's dog' or otherwise...
No animal should ever be punished for the human's mistake...
