I'll tell ya.....I get emails from shelters regularly about what dogs they have recently taken in. It is so sad. I would say that the Chihuahua is the most prevalent, then the Yorkie, Shih Tzu, and Maltese, plus the mixes of all 4. It would break your heart to see these poor animals. Who knows what the people were thinking when they purchased these poor darlings?!
I wish they had thought a little harder and longer about it.
They are so adorable as puppies. Then reality sets in.
