Good advice! I had someone call my cell phone about a year ago telling me my debit card for my checking account had been compromised. I said, "Oh really. Okay, thanks," because then they wanted me to give THEM info.
I hung up and called my 800 number for my bank and they said it was the first report of this scam to them but it was NOT them and my account was fine.
