Small dogs I know it's easy to freak out when our babies are hurt (I have an entire food chain in my pet managerie so they usually hurt each other), but you have to remain calm to save yourself some vet bills! I too used to freak out and would rack up $200 vet bill for an injury that was fine by the time we got there.
If she hurts herelf again, just cuddle her for a bit and then let her go. Make her walk around and see if everything is working. If something is broke, you will probly know it. If you know she hit her head (hard, not a simple bump), take in her in. Period.
If you've never had a small dog before, here is a peice of advise that may save your sanity in the long run. Relax and don't over-coddle your baby. We like them because they are so small and cuddly, but you will create a monster if you are too over protective.
The longer you have one (a little dog) the better you'll get at assessing injuries. But be calm, you have to for the dog (I had to hold my dogs broken limp body after she got hit by a car and I know my calm, rational demenor kept her going...or maybe I just tell myself that. Had I freaked out, she would have been off for the worse)
