My first thought was that he was just having anxiety to the big dog running up on him. If the dog only sniffed, it shouldn't have bruised him.

You say even his urine is smelling strong? If so, I would call the vet office and see if they can work him in before they close for Christmas. Maybe take a urine sample (if you have a pee pad, turn it upside down and when he pees on it, drain into a container). The vet might need to check his urine and do some blood work.

It's possible it will ease up and that he was just scared by that dog, but I'd have the vet take another look since it is still going on.
