Yeah, $850 is pretty expensive without vet bills included. I think in Mandie's first 6 months (including vet bills), I spent around that much..maybe $1000. With things costing more in Germany and shipping there if you are getting them overseas...i could see spending a pretty penny.
Fortunately, everyone says that the 1st year is the most expensive usually.
