I felt the same way you do...that 1/2 wasn't enough for my active and growing puppy. Is yours a puppy? If so, I was told..and agree..that you can't over feed a puppy. So, I started just always leaving food out for Mandie. She kinda pigged out at first but then got used to the food always being there and i'm very comfortable that she eats what she needs and when she's hungry now.
I'm going to continue this unless she starts getting fat after 1, but I don't think it will happen.
