We have crowned eagles circulating above most days..and I would luv for Hollee to play out byherself but she always has to be watched. We wondered if we could let her out back in the courtyard on her own with her sister.. They love lying in the sun & Hollee goes around trawling the ground eating whatever she comes across.
But did think a hawk wouldn't come into the courtyard..even though it doesn't have a roof.
Speaking of a vest to keep them away..I had just the same thought..I thought we could make a reflector tape band that crosses over at the shoulders and around the chest and down the back..something that would scare them off..Hmmm..
