Like is we are in the car and she needs to go or if she is in her carrier I would prefer it if she knew how to hold it just so that she doesn't pee in all the wrong places i.e. the car, her carrier, etc.
Dogs generally don't like to pee in those places!! My dogs are trained peepads I keep them in a separate room, not all over the house...when we are out etc., I carry a disposable pad with me, offer it to them at appropriate times!
