Most cat collars are break away because cats tend to wander and get into tight spots. I feel much safer with a cat collar on Gracie. She likes to follow my cats around the house and will try to go under the furniture with them. She has long hair so I have to make sure I comb her at least once daily to keep the hair from tangling around the collar. I would comb her anyway because of the length of her hair. They are very fast little animals. It is wise to have an ID tag on at all times. A microchip is a good idea also.
