Jackson came up limping one day randomly, took him to the vet, and after x-rays and determining nothing was sprained or broken, etc, his Lymes test came back positive. We did 30 days of doxycycline, and about a week of pain meds. Within 1 hour of taking meds, he was not limping anymore. He now has tested negative for lymes for the past 3 tests. He is 4 years old. This happened when he was about 2. No problems or further issues came about!! I am sure Zoey will be fine!

We do not do lymes vaccine. Too new for my liking, doesn't protect against all strains, and it's easy enough to treat when found early. My vet did not advise getting it at the time either. We use preventatives as needed (K9 advantix).
