There is no cure for it in dogs.
They can treat the heart....I just have not been able to find out what happens in the mean time with the parasite. Next time I see my vet, I am going to ask her about it. The discharge summary for this little guy was a bit depressing to read...he clearly has some damage to his heart. Just have to wait and see what the Holter monitor says.
