Yesterday her temperature was 99.4, today it's 99.0 and we still haven't noticed any signs of going into labor. We figure she's appx. 63 day's today. We had her in at the vet this past Saturday and they did x-ray's and they said they see at least one puppy so we are assuming that she is really pregnant . Can someone help?? Do you think she's close to delivering? I'd appreciate it.
Hi, I will try to help.
.
My experience is when it drops below 98.4 labor should begin within 24 hours.
This has been true on all but one or two dogs of mine in 40 years. However if she is only carrying one or two puppies I would watch her every minute now and not let her go more than 30 to 45 minutes if she goes into labor until you get her to the vet in case they are to big for her to birth naturally.

Hope this helps- It sounds like she is getting close as she is going down.
