I also had no idea they were so important!!! I've been walking him with a collar!! And my daughter accidently jerked him cus she was walking him on our snowy/icy street and car almost hit her...she jerk the leash hard! DO YOU THINK SHE ACCIDENTLY DAMAGED HIM???

(AS SOON as I'm feeling better ~sick~ i'm running to the doggy store to get a harness!!)
