Shock and stress invade the brain and your body and you often blank entirely on even the basics of the event, let alone details. Later, when you aren't so stressed, you likely will remember other things but right now, your brain is still in fight or flight mode, overstressed and pretty much just concentrating on the here and now.
I'm so grateful neither of you was seriously injured and that Luma didn't have to have a lot of surgery, I just can't contain myself! It sounds like she will be fine medically in time and you, too. Don't feel such guilt over what happened. You know from reading post after post here, news reports and watching TV that this happens all the time. It is the irresponsible owner of the loose dog who is at fault - not you!!! God bless you and little Luma. |
OMG Carmen!!! How terribly horrific for you and Luma to be attacked like that and inside a garage no less!!! Who would ever think of being on the defensive when you in an inside space
I am thankful that it didn't end up worse than it was and it is bad that it happened at all (through NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN!!) I will keep sweet little Luma and you in my prayers.
