I don't blame him. I'm eyeing bigger than my old 55. But it has to be exceptional in picture quality - the absolute best. My eye can pick up missing detail or distortion no one else cares about so I have to have something I can live with. And all kinds of controls. I'd go nuts with a regular old HDTV with those limited settings and so little choice.
