Sounds totally normal! I'd say after you let the pup out for potty put him right back in his crate (NO PLAYTIME!) and when he whines tell him "NO!" very firmly. When Blazer would try that I would tap the top of his crate when I said, "No whining!" He sleeps through the night now, he has for months, but I do remember those first few nights. Just like having a new baby at home. It does get better, I PROMISE! Just stay consistant!
