I am having a problem with crating our new pup at night as well. He usually whines for a couple of minutes then goes to sleep, but is up at 3 and 4 am wanting to go poop and potty. I take him out, but then he doesnt want to go back to sleep. As soon as I get back to sleep, he starts whining again. I am totally exhausted
... He absolutely HATES to be in his crate or to be in any sort of confinment. He is 5 months old now. I have tried placing him back in the bed with me, but he is soo restless and keeps me awake. Plus, i dont want him thinking that he can just get in the bed if he whines. I want him potty trained first.
