I bring that up, because it seems to me, in some cases, the message is killed by the messenger, in other words, it's not what was said, it was how it was said. I have seen people leave who could have been valuable contributing members of the community, had they just been handled a little differently.

The worse thing is these people that are run off the forum, and make no bones, they are indeed run off the forum.. They're not going to stop having yorkies. BUT now they are not going to utilize their BEST source of information and education because some people decided they did not like the choices they made for their dogs and instead of having a conversation with these people about what they believe is the right way, backed by proof, not just so and so said so, these people have been berated for doing the wrong thing.

Now.. again, they're not leaving the yorkie as a breed. And a chance to educate someone has been lost, because some people in their zeal forgot how to deliver the message and so the message was killed. And these people will go on and breed their yorkies, not knowing and not caring, because they're going to show those stuck up snobby yorkie people a thing or two.

Who suffers in the end? All because someone could not soften the delivery of a message. It doesn't kill anyone to speak a little softer, just to get the message delivered.
I understand and agree with you when you say "killing the messenger". As much as I don't want people to leave this site due to feeling persecuted or judged, not all people act or react the same way to the same questions or responses... Some people are softer in their delivery and others are more blunt...same can be said for the people that come here looking for help. We can't assume to guess who's going to take offence and who can handle the truth...no matter how well intended we're trying to be. Plus "truth" is subjective. There is no ALMIGHTY TRUTH and we all gather our info from this site, uniquely, taking in what works for us (hopefully, I know I do...). It's ok to ignore OR react to responses that insult your sensibilities, life is a series of choices. We are under our own powers to do as we choose. No one can MAKE you feel a certain way unless insecurity over it already simmers under the surface...that's a defensive reaction, (again, my opinion). Chalk up those judging comments as nothing interesting for you to bother with...goodness knows I do! I don't have any kind of insecurity about my opinions or anyone else's and I respect WHOLEHEARTEDLY everyone's means of managing their pet...even the one's I disagree with, however I'm free to call them out and disagree with a big THUMBS DOWN...and I do. I'm not rude...I can't imagine feeling negative toward anyone, just that I react and say what I feel. There will be those people that run off upset and I'm not sure they don't do that off line as well. ... Humans are fallible. We need to be respectful but REAL. If speaking your opinion is considered rude..(well I know i'm not that kind of person), but I'm also not much of a writer so it's a learning curve to speak in text and come across the way you truly intend. I very much intend to be REAL and am working on my delivery...
