Saying a prayer for Sassy to feel better soon. Hopefully those meds will kick in and it is just an infection. She's been through enough in her 8 years. Bless you for rescuing her from a puppy mill. I'm sure she knows you are doing your best to take care of her and love her...that will help her fight off her sickness..being loved.
