Love

G'morning everyone & Thank you again for your positive thoughts & prayers for Momo!

Momo is doing very well!
He wasn't quite out of anesthesia last night when I picked him up, he was shaking, groggy & moaning a lot. When we got home, he rested for about an hour & he ate very well. Good thing his food is The Honest Kitchen, Thrive. It's all ground up so there's no need for him to chew (he has to have soft food for 3 days). This morning, I mixed in his antibiotic (ClindaCure, which is very bitter & he hated it last time) w/the food & he gobbled it right up!
I have Torb-Val (torbutrol) for him, but I didn't like how he is on it, he kinda just stands there & stares out into space lolll. Not sure if he is in pain, but w/3 teeth (back molars) pulled, he must be & is hiding it well. So he'll get his meds for today.
His fine needle aspiration went well & was sent to the lab for cytology...will get results back in a couple of days. His saliva glands are still swollen, I thought it was going to get drained... will need to talk to his vet about that. The vet also did mention that the swelling could be from his teeth (maybe an infection). So now that's all cleared up, it may go away on it's own. I am kicking myself for putting his dental cleaning off for so long. His teeth were not that bad on the outside, but you can't see the inside (under the gums)...now I know how important yearly cleanings are. I think his last cleaning was done about 2-3 years ago.
Momo did cough a little this morning, his throat is a little irritated from the tubing I think. It sounded raspy. He ate breakfast very well (& wanted more loll), now he's in la la land. xoxo
