I am so sorry for your babies and you! Poor little ones having to suffer skin problems, and then to have the disappointment of being shaved. Ugh!
Looking back on when my family used groomers for our previous dogs, I see how lucky we were to have found great groomers. I suppose it is like any other profession where you have to look hard to find good ones and then cross your fingers that they don't move or retire.
