I was taking mine to a very hi dollar, experienced grooming boutique....they really did a super job. Then one day, they had a new receptionist, who messed up on scheduling appointments, and they were severly over booked, and running WAY behind! I had a little boy that had hypo glycemia issues and could nOT be without foor all day long...I usually took him in, they did hm first, and I picked him up after about 3 hours. Never had a problem...this particular time, it was going on 5 hours and I had not gotten the call to go get him. I told them they were going to have to give him Nurta-Cal immediately, which they did....but I guess they gotr that sticky stuff all over his little clean face, got angry, and just held that baby under a faucet to get his face washed off....he was NEVER the same after that day....he was absolutely terrified of running water and would run and hid if I even turned the faucet on in the kitchen! Needless to say, I went out and bought all my own grooming equipment and I do my own dogs now. It is ceretainly nothing fancy, and I keep them all cut down short, but I would rather shave them bald, then have a groomer drown my baby in a sink or hold them under a running faucet, and essentially "water board" them to the point they are terrified if they hear running water! Thank God they didnt CUT an ear or skin.... |
