I too think labs or goldens are the best with kids. I had a lab growing up, she was the best. Always even tempered, never skittish, ate everything that was ever dropped on the floor!

I would never mix a 2 year old with a yorkie puppy. Put aside the yorkies are fragile thing, but think of the work raising a kid and a demanding breed dog. I would run out into traffic if I had to potty train a suborn yorkie and toddler at the same time. I like to say yorkies are not a breed, but a lifestyle.
