She loves to watch the outside world & "guard" her home...from squirrels, birds, the guy across the street mowing his lawn, the neighbour taking out the garbage, and people walking by. And when someone actually pulls in the driveway, she makes a mad dash to the window that overlooks the driveway & greest them with extra-loud barks.
I'm always telling her what a good job she's doing guarding her home. |
Deuce loves to sit in the window and guard the yard during the day. Right now he is not too happy with the location of the Christmas tree because it's in the window and his chair is off to the side. He also waits for the Mail Carrier. Like it's his job. He has different barks and runs through the house to signal what's going on in the front of the house - dog walking, visitor to the house, family member or mail. I kind of like it because it lets me know what's going on. He doesn't carry on barking needlessly but he likes when I acknowledge what he is doing. I check it out and thank him for doing his job.
