Yorkies are the "it" dog right now. That's the sad truth. So a thief will steal if given any opportunity. It doesn't matter if you leave your yorkie in your car/truck for a minute (comfy or not..a/c or heat). A thief (ESPECIALLY around this time of year) will bust a window out to get the dog. It's been done around here and I live in a small town.
I think the issue (with most people that do it) is that they still have that "back in the day" mindset. You used to could ride kids in the back of pick up trucks and it was FUN..not DANGEROUS (or so we thought), we rode bikes without helmets...we ran an errand for a minute and left the dog in the car. You just can't do that stuff anymore..it's a different world now.
