That's not the standard, that's just a little breed information where it say is the breed right for you. If you look further down on the page, you'll see Breed Standard, and it says: "WEIGHT Must not exceed seven pounds." Just telling you this because many people think that's the standard. I totally agree with you, a dog shouldn't be given at Christmas, too much is going on and too many things are out that could hurt a young puppy, just way to much excitment for a puppy.
