This is sad. Why would parents think this would be a good idea. I really hate that people think that it is ok to give toy puppies, chicks, bunnies and other little animals to children and young children at that. After the holidays there are tons of poor animals brought to the shelters telling them it is too much for them to take care of. Or vets they were dropped, shaken, stepped on, etc. I wish these people would buy them a stuffed animal. It is safer.
