  I agree, the town does seem so ideal, and if it could happen there, it can happen anywhere.  The sad thing is this mother had plenty of resources available, insurance, and lots of alimony, so she could get this boy help, if she understood the seriousness of his ailment.  Friends are saying she wanted to handle it by herself, but the last few months, she was clearly worried about him.  I wish diseases of the mind didn't have such a horrible social stigma, maybe she would have sought outside help.  She knew he had extreme social problems, and I fault her for keeping the guns available to him.    Guns shouldn’t be available to everyone, some people lack impulse control.
