I have been told that you can register through CKC if the dog is 6 months old. I downloaded the application from their site and all you have to do is take 3 pictures, 1 from the front, 1 from the back, and 1 from the side and Have either one or two people sign it saying it really is a Yorkie!!!! We did it with an Eskimo dog, and it worked!! Papers aren't important to me unless I plan to breed. My friend breeds her poodle, who is registered, to a male who isn't, they are purebreed, just not registered, b/c mom is the only one!! Glad you are getting one!!!!!
