I am so happy to have found this forum and be able to hear others' stories that are so similar to mine. Although many of my friends and family have dogs and most have always had them, this seems to be the first yorkie. Many of the things this little guy does seem to be common amongst other little yorkies and I feel good to hear it after my friends looking at me like I am crazy,
Another thing most of my friends don't understand is the pee pad thing. Although Wallee goes outside, he still uses the pad in the house most of the time rather than ask to go out. He will ask to go outside to poo, but if I somehow don't get there on time he will try to get it on the pad. I have never had a dog use these before but have come to accept it. I am hoping that when the hormones change from being neutered that he won't need to peek as often. When my friends ridicule me for him still having pads in my living room (put in the place he continued to use even without pads), I tell them they are like his security blanket and he is not ready to give them up.
