I know a chain stitch, I did a baby blanket for my now 39 year old son when he was born, called broom stick lace....it turned out amazing pretty for a beginner!....and I was doing a twin sized "blanket" for my mother to just cover her legs with when she went to bed. I was showing someone that was a "professional crocheter"...she said I was using a rug stitch for that blanket!....I dont know...it was coming out very pretty, I thought....I can not remember the stitch now, I stopped in mid stitch when momma complained of chest pain that night back in 2000, and then things went down the drain from there and I never picked it up again....I saw it in the top of my closet as I was getting some blankets down last week....wondered if I was ever going to be able to remember how to do that stitch so I could at least finish it across that row to the edge. When I retire and I have more time, maybe I will be able to do that.....I am going to watch that video posted above..... |
