I heard the name Yumi on a Japanese horror movie, and just loved it. Not being Japanese I couldn't exactly plan to name a kid that because everyone would think I was insane. I was like "Yumi the yorkie! It's perfect!" I ended up getting Yuri before Yumi, and thought Yuri would sound good with it, so I went with it.
The meaning of Yumi depends on a kanji used. we'll go with evening beauty lol. Yuri I think meant Farmer or earth-worker in Russian, or Lily in Japanese :P |
