That's awful! I can't imagine that happening in school when I was a student. Probably would have marked me for life. I'll bet you were so scared to go to school after that for a long while.

It's awful to think of a school where kindergarten-aged kids have to file through a metal detector to go learn how to read and write, isn't it? Awful but it may come to that.
