Nilla was microchipped I'm pretty sure the first day I took her to the vet for a puppy health check! I was determined! If she got away from me or was taken, I don't know WHAT I would do. She's not only my dog, she is my best friend. I think FOR ME it was $35-ish and no yearly cost. I go to the more expensive clinic in town though because my friend is a vet assistant there and I knew she would make sure my baby is taken care of! ^^
Definitely go for the chip. It's nothing you have to upkeep (except updating weight, health conditions, and such online), and it's a little more peace of mind if something were to happen! Good luck!
