Well the mommy socializes them more. I asked my breeder if I could leave my puppy with the mom for an additional month because she told me she would be ready at 8 weeks. As much as I want her sooner, it's better for them. They learn skills from their mom, brothers and sisters that they don't learn from humans. I don't have other dogs with me so I am depending on her mommy to teach her doggy etiquette
